“Let people take their time.”

Read the text

When you sit there with a message sent and nothing coming back yet, the room feels a little heavier. The phone sits warm in your hand, quiet, almost too quiet, and your chest pulls tight like it’s bracing for something. The mind starts filling the space with guesses, building its own stories in the time between pauses.

Most of the time, it’s just someone moving through their day, caught up in whatever sits in front of them. You can ease your shoulders, feel the seat under you, and notice your own breath settling. A pause doesn’t mean anything is wrong. It’s just a small still moment you happen to notice more than they do.
